Dog owners are required by ordinance to have their dogs licensed. (Cats are not required to be licensed).

Dog licenses are available for purchase at Lochbuie Town Hall, 703 Weld County Road 37, Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM -06:00 PM.

Owners must provide proof of vaccination from a licensed veterinarian and pay one of the following licensing fees annually:

  • $5.00 for each dog that has been spayed or neutered (must provide proof of sterilization from a licensed veterinarian)
  • $10.00 for each dog that has not been spayed or neutered

All licenses are good for the calendar year only, expiring annually on February 28th.

Town ordinance allows for three (3) pets per household.
