Digital Accessibility
The Town of Lochbuie Supports Accessibility
The Town of Lochbuie is committed to meeting the needs of all people with disabilities. The Town fully supports the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in its physical facilities and its programs, services, and activities. The Town's intent is that its website and web-based applications comply to the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 A/AA.
How is the Town meeting the challenge? In compliance with Colorado House Bill 21-1110, an audit of the website is being completed to evaluate the compliance with WCAG digital accessibility guidelines and to develop an accessibility plan. The Town’s technologies (and vendors’ technologies) are being assessed by experienced accessibility testers using a variety of assistive technologies across different operating systems. Assessments have concluded that the Town has a notable degree of accessibility built into the content management system, though there are areas for improvement. The Town is addressing the accessibility barriers and will engage the numerous third-party vendors who create the applications that support our digital services.
Accessing Lochbuie’s Digital Services
The Town has worked to assure that its website and digital services are accessible and support WCAG. Individuals who need a reasonable accommodation or modification to access the City’s website or digital technologies can request assistance by contacting the ADA Coordinator/Town Clerk.
