Weld County Road 2 (also known as County Road 2 or 168th Avenue) will be widened between Jewel Street & the Town’s boundary just west of North 50th. The widening will entail the construction of two traffic lanes north of the existing road, a landscaped center median, refurbishment of the existing lanes, and other improvements, such as stormwater infrastructure. Once complete, WCR 2 will feature four lanes of traffic, separated by a landscaped median, from the intersection of North 45th Avenue in Brighton to the I-76 on- and off-ramps. Work is expected to start July 20, 2026, through January of 2027.
