MOSQUITO CONTROL

The Town of Lochbuie has contracted with Vector Disease Control International, LLC (VDCI) to implement an integrated mosquito control program within Town Limits. Part of this program is to monitor the adult mosquito population through regular and strategic mosquito trapping. Mosquito trapping is conducted in accordance with the protocols established in the current Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) Mosquito Surveillance Plan. To control adult mosquitoes that exceed pre‐set threshold levels or present a public health threat due to mosquito infection rates or elevated vector populations, a prescription‐based adulticiding (Fogging) program will be implemented.

Based on recent results, the town will be fogging Lochbuie (south of Co Rd 4) today, June 8, 2022, weather permitting.
