Public Works
The Public Works Department of The Town of Lochbuie is dedicated to enhance the quality of life and health of our citizens today and in the future by providing a level of parks, open space and services that the citizens deserve and demand in the most efficient and effective manner possible.

Lochbuie Public Works department currently has 14 full time and 2 part time employees. The department is divided into six Divisions.
The Streets Division is responsible for street and drainage maintenance which includes street sweeping, pothole repair, snow removal and storm drainage system. The Parks and Recreation Division is responsible for maintaining parks and open space and trails. The Water Division is responsible for the operation of our Reverse Osmosis water treatment facility to comply with all the Federal Safe Drinking Water Standards, State and EPA regulations. They are responsible for the water mains, fire hydrants, valves and water meters. The Wastewater Division is responsible for the operation of the wastewater treatment plant and compliance with all State and EPA regulations. They are responsible for the lines carrying sewage to the plant for treatment which includes mains, manholes, sewer taps and sewer back-up problems. The Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and repair to all town owned vehicles and equipment and buildings. The Building and Development Division is responsible for current and long-range planning to conduct plan review, to issue building permits, to provide inspection services to administer the appropriate Town ordinances to preserve neighborhood character and enhance the Town’s quality of life within the context of the Town’s official Comprehensive Master Plan and to serve as a professional planning and development resource to the elected and appointed officials and community at large.
